The American Marketing Association is offering a fully remote Academic Communities Intern position. You must reside in one of several US states and be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

The role provides administrative support, event planning assistance, and opportunities for professional growth within the AMA’s Academic Communities team. Responsibilities include managing SIG webpages, budgeting, attending to attendee inquiries, and assisting with conference proceedings

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience.
• Interest in working within event management, volunteer management, or association management.
• Experience in Google Suite.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work remotely 24 hours per week.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support the Manager, Academic Communities, with planning and logistics for the 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries alongside the Manager, Academic Communities, and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
