Job summary

Optum is seeking an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Practice Management Specialist to lead relationships with ABA providers, monitor clinical effectiveness, and ensure contractual compliance. The role collaborates with Care Advocacy Operations and Network Management to improve treatment outcomes.

Responsibilities include engaging with senior leaders, analyzing outcomes data, conducting program audits, and implementing Performance Improvement Plans.

Qualifications

• Licensed Master's degree-level clinician in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• Independent, active, and unrestricted licenses required.
• Board certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and state licensure where required.
• 3+ years in Managed Care/Utilization Review.
• 3+ years of CPT/HCPCS coding experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Engage with senior leaders at ABA facilities/providers.
• Initiate interventions to improve clinical outcomes and billing practices.
• Support high-performing ABA providers to maintain standards.
• Analyze clinical outcomes and utilization/claims data.
• Audit ABA programs and provide actionable feedback.
• Measure improvements and adjust interventions to optimize results.
• Implement and monitor Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
• Support onsite data analysis and report writing for ABA teams.
• Collaborate with Care Advocacy, Network Integrity, and Legal teams.
