Job summary

Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist for a fully remote role. You will learn the end-to-end process of administering 401(k) plans, reviewing client documents, and preparing annual government filings with guidance and practical experience.

You will reconcile plans, run testing and reporting, and educate clients about plan administration while maintaining proactive communication. Strong Excel skills and experience in back-office operations are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing in back-office operations.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Familiarity with 401(k) or IRA administration and year-end reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain necessary information for annual reporting.
• Review documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and admin software; assist testing and reporting.
• Prepare 401(k) filings including IRS Form 5500.
• Educate clients about plan administration and documents.
• Make reminders and communicate progress to clients.
