Guidant Financial is hiring a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist for a fully remote role. You will learn to administer, test, and report on 401(k) plans while handling document review, client communications, and year-end filings.

Strong Excel skills and back-office experience are valued as you grow into more complex tasks. You will support clients nationwide, with onboarding and ongoing training, in a culture focused on ownership and long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing in back-office operations.
• 1–5 years in benefits administration, money movement, tax prep, loans, or compliance/quality-control support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA) preferred.
• Experience with reconciliation preferred.
• Associate's or bachelor’s degree in business/finance or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients to gather information for annual reporting.
• Review client documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting with software.
• Make reminder calls and emails to clients during plan-year reporting.
• Prepare IRS Form 5500 and year-end government filings.
• Explain retirement-plan administration to clients.
