Job summary

Guidant Financial seeks a Retirement Plan Operations Specialist to work fully remote from home. You will learn the full process of administering, testing, and reporting on 401(k) plans, with accelerated training and practical experience, including year-end filings and IRS Form 5500 tasks.

Review client submissions, ensure accuracy, and use Excel and specialized software to perform testing and reporting throughout the plan year.

Qualifications

• Experience with document review and transaction processing as daily responsibilities.
• 1–5 years in adjacent back-office financial operations (benefits admin, money movement, tax prep, or compliance).
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Direct retirement-plan operations experience (401(k) or IRA admin, testing, or 5500 reporting) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with clients to obtain information for annual reporting.
• Review client documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Reconcile plans using Excel and administration software.
• Perform 401(k) testing and reporting with filing software.
• Educate clients on plan administration and documents.
