Job summary

LCS Financial Services Corporation is hiring for a Remote Collections Specialist to join a nationwide team. You will handle inbound and outbound calls, negotiate settlements, and strive to meet recovery goals from a home office.

Must have 2+ years in third-party debt collection, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to laws and policies. Remote workspace and approved state residency required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of third-party debt collection experience.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proven ability to manage collection accounts and negotiate successful payment arrangements.
• Excellent verbal communication, active listening, and telephone etiquette.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to team goals.

• Working knowledge of applicable debt collection laws and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-minimized remote workspace suitable for confidential conversations.

• Must reside and work in an LCS-approved state.

Responsibilities

• Managing inbound and outbound collection calls to negotiate resolutions on delinquent accounts.
• Negotiating payment arrangements and settlement agreements based on borrowers' financial circumstances.
• Utilizing skip-tracing tools to locate borrowers and assets.
• Managing assigned account portfolios and prioritizing collection activities to maximize recovery opportunities.
• Consistently working toward individual and departmental performance goals.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed account documentation.
• Delivering professional, respectful customer interactions while navigating difficult conversations.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintaining communication with management and team while working remotely.
