Job summary

Forward Air Corp. in Dallas is seeking an Account Manager - Third-Party Logistics (3PL) to manage and grow strategic customer relationships.

You will be the primary contact for assigned accounts, driving satisfaction, retention, and long-term revenue growth while partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver operations-focused solutions. The role requires deep understanding of transport networks and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, 3PL, account management, or a related customer-facing role.
• Deep understanding of transportation, LTL, expedited, or related freight operations.
• Strong relationship management, analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of strategic customer accounts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, building and maintaining relationships across stakeholders.
• Understand customer supply chain strategies and align solutions to support those initiatives.
• Position the Company as a preferred transportation provider within partner networks.
• Monitor and analyze account performance, revenue trends, and retention risks.
• Identify growth opportunities and support contract renewals and commercial negotiations.
• Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive business reviews with clients.
• Maintain CRM documentation and forecasting information.
