Job summary

Cosmo 1:1 seeks experienced tutors to deliver 50-minute one-on-one lessons to K-12 students in North America using the Cosmo curriculum. You set a flexible schedule and meet with students at a fixed time each week for tutoring in math or ELA.

As an independent contractor, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant teaching experience, with reliable internet and a suitable computer. Availability includes 3–10 PM EST on weekdays or weekends, and at least 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA or math.
• Experience with K-12 ELA or math standards.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000.
• Currently located in the United States or Canada.
• Commit to a minimum of 6 months with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available between 3-10 PM EST Monday through Friday or weekends.
• Minimum of 20 hours of availability weekly.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1 on 1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student's age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
