Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an intermediate design engineer with a broad background in environmental site remediation for federal and global private sector clients. Based anywhere in the United States, you’ll design remediation actions and systems, develop designs, write specifications, and prepare basis of design reports and work plans.

You’ll collaborate with a global team, mentor others, and support field activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Knowledge of environmental remediation technologies, systems or remedial actions.
• Minimum 4 years of on-the-job remediation experience with project examples.
• Minimum 2 years designing remediation actions or systems with project examples.
• Experience writing specifications, basis of design reports, and design drawings.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to work with nationwide teams.
• Based in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design environmental remedial actions or remediation systems.
• Evaluate site conditions, determine data needs, assess alternatives, and perform engineering calculations.
• Prepare work plans, reports and design documents including design specifications.
• Mentor and collaborate with team members; take ownership of assigned tasks.
• Support field data collection and ensure safety and compliance.
