Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced mid-level design engineer to support environmental remediation projects for federal and private clients across the United States. Based anywhere in the U.S., you’ll design remediation systems, evaluate data, and develop work plans and design drawings with guidance from senior staff.

You’ll contribute written deliverables, collaborate across teams, and maintain safety and quality standards while working in a hybrid environment that blends office and field time to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• 4+ years on-the-job environmental remediation experience
• 2+ years designing remediation actions or systems
• Experience writing specifications and basis of design reports
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members
• Ability to work remotely with nationwide teams
• Based within the United States

Responsibilities

• Design environmental remedial actions or remediation systems.
• Prepare work plans, reports, and design drawings.
• Evaluate site conditions and available data; perform engineering calculations.
• Develop designs with guidance from Design Managers and discipline leads.
• Contribute to safety, health, and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and project managers across teams.
