Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an intermediate design engineer with a broad background in environmental site remediation for federal and global private sector clients. Based anywhere in the United States, you’ll work with other scientists, engineers, subject matter experts, and project managers on exciting projects nationwide.

You’ll apply your technical experience in the design of environmental remedial actions and/or remediation systems with the support of our global remediation technology team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Knowledge of environmental remediation technologies, systems or actions.
• 4+ years in environmental remediation with project examples.
• 2+ years designing environmental remedial actions or remediation systems.
• Experience writing specifications, basis of design reports and design drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with nationwide teams.
• Based in the United States; able to work remotely with teams nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Design environmental remedial actions or remediation systems.
• Develop work plans, reports, and design documents including specifications.
• Evaluate site conditions, data needs, and remedial alternatives; perform calculations.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers and project managers on projects nationwide.
