An Assistant Manager position is an excellent career opportunity for sports and outdoor enthusiasts. As an Assistant Manager, you will gain knowledge and experience necessary for promotion to higher management positions, under the guidance of experienced personnel. A well-defined training program will be provided to help you develop within our management structure. Candidates should be enthusiastic, energetic, sports-minded individuals with strong customer service backgrounds and relevant educational paths suited for the industry.

Responsibilities
  1. Opening and closing the store
  2. Staffing the store with service-oriented associates
  3. Performing customer sales and service
  4. Directing sales and cashier associates
  5. Training newly hired associates
  6. Merchandising and ensuring compliance with all company policies
  7. Answering customer inquiries via telephone
  8. Setting promotional signage and other assigned duties
  9. Enforcing all company policies
  10. Learning and providing product descriptions
  11. Proposing add-on sales
  12. Checking and retrieving merchandise from storage
  13. Organizing, restocking, and cleaning merchandise on the sales floor
  14. Controlling inventory and enforcing loss prevention policies
Requirements
  1. Must be 21 years of age or older
  2. Must possess a High School diploma, GED, or relevant experience
  3. Basic organizational and applicable math skills
  4. Subject to E-Verify upon accepting an offer
  5. Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
  6. Effective interactive and communication skills

Pay Scale

$19.46 - $19.95/hour depending on store location
