At 28 Villages, we provide remote accommodation, catering and support services to mining companies operating in remote Western Australia. We deliver village management services, bringing our villages to life through friendly customer service and outstanding catering.

Currently, we are expanding our Village Management teams and seeking Relief Village Managers to oversee operations at our mining villages in WA. In this role, you will lead and inspire our teams of Utilities and Chefs, ensuring the delivery of outstanding services to our clients and guests.

The Role

  • Casual position
  • Competitive Day Rate
  • FIFO Ex Perth

This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless daily operations and maintaining high service standards. You will receive continuous support from senior management and report directly to the Area Manager.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating a safe work culture through the delivery daily pre-start team meetings
  • Managing full Village Operations including Cleaning, Housekeeping, and Catering services in accordance with client expectations
  • Ensuring consistent operational performance, while maintaining safety standards
  • Cost control and stock management
  • Rostering of staff and approving timesheets

The Person

The ideal candidate will have previous village supervisory or management experience, most importantly a great work ethic and positive approach to problem solving. The following attributes are strongly desired:

Role Requirements

Your capabilities extend beyond qualifications, and at 28 Villages, we highly regard soft skills alongside experience. However, the following abilities and qualifications are preferred, highly valued, or essential for consideration:

  • Valid Manual drivers’ licence (necessary)
  • Approved Managers licence (necessary)
  • Proficient in using INX Software (necessary)
  • Good computer skills using the Microsoft Suite
  • Prior experience in Management of remote mining villages (necessary)
  • Hospitality experience minimum 5 years (desirable)
  • Ability to pass a medical and drug and alcohol screen (necessary)
  • National Police Clearance, or willing to obtain one (necessary)
  • Safety and Training qualifications will be highly regarded.
