Job summary

GAF Materials Corp. seeks a Reliability Engineer II in Savannah to lead reliability and maintenance programs, optimize machine uptime, reduce downtime, and extend equipment life.

You will work with Maintenance and Operations to implement FRACAS, PM optimization, lubrication improvements, and cross-functional improvements. The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, safety, and training, with opportunities to influence across the plant and drive cost reductions through reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 2+ years demonstrated industrial manufacturing experience
• 2+ years plant maintenance experience
• 2+ years of maintenance and reliability improvement
• Certification in Thermography, Vibration Analysis and Machinery Lubrication within 2 years
• MS Office and/or Google Suite proficiency
• Knowledge of rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, lubrication
• Knowledge of vibration analysis, thermal imaging, Oil Analysis, NDT, and laser alignment
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, P&IDs and equipment manuals
• Experience with CMMS, Maximo preferred
• Knowledge of probability and statistics, and prediction reliability tools
• Ability to develop and execute multiple project plans
• Small capital project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Independent decision making under limited supervision
• Root cause analysis proficiency
• Advanced CMMS/Inventory Management software knowledge
• G Suite proficiency
• Capable of managing budgets under 50k
• FMEA and PM optimization
• Precision maintenance know-how

Responsibilities

• Manage FRACAS process with downtime reporting and action plans
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs
• Perform PM optimization reviews and criticality assessments
• Develop lubrication and sampling plans

• Document workflows for work requests, orders, planning, scheduling
• Lead multiple improvement projects
