Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Release Manager to support the GSM-O II contract for DISA. The role requires on-site presence at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB and a DoD security clearance.

You will lead Lean Agile releases, coordinate Jira/Confluence workflows, and drive cross-team collaboration with product owners, developers, and DevOps. The position emphasizes governance, risk assessment, and delivery of updates across environments, with a focus on timely, accurate release packages and stakeholder

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• On-site support at Scott AFB, IL; Fort Meade, MD; or Ogden, UT.
• Security certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher (e.g., Security+).
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6–10 years.
• Experience in Process Mapping within a DoD environment.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, Confluence and Git.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly technical team with strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and guide cross-functional teams using Lean Agile principles.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, requirements teams, and developers to mitigate dependencies.
• Release manager responsible for all releases and update sets.
• Develop metrics and reports for sprint, project, and program execution.
• Lead and own the release management process and risk assessment.
• Build product roadmaps in Jira and manage multiple releases.
• Communicate with stakeholders and manage expectations effectively.
• Work with End Users, Software, Data, DevOps, and Data Scientists.
