Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Release Manager to support the GSM‑O II contract for DISA, guiding Lean-Agile delivery and release packages in an AWS environment. The role requires on-site presence at Fort Meade, Scott AFB, or Hill AFB and close collaboration with product owners, developers, DevOps, and data teams to manage dependencies, risks, and deployment of updates across environments.

Qualifications

• Requires a US Citizenship.
• Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance.
• On-site commutes to Fort Meade, SCott AFB or Hill AFB for full-time support.
• Security certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher, such as Security+.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience (or master’s with 6–10).
• Experience in Process Mapping and DoD data/ operations environments.
• Experience with Jira, Xray, Confluence and Git repo.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and guide cross-functional teams using Lean Agile principles.
• Collaborate with owners, requirements, dev teams and stakeholders to mitigate dependencies and address technical debt.
• Release manager responsible for all minor and major releases.
• Lead the release process design, risk assessment and packaging.
• Develop metrics/reports for sprint, project and program execution.
• Track user stories in Jira and coordinate cross-team impediments.
• Work with End Users, Software, Data, DevOps, and Data Scientists.
