Job summary

Leidos is seeking a ServiceNow Release Manager to support the DISA GSM-O II contract at Fort Meade, onsite. You will manage release planning, integration, and deployment across environments, coordinating with Product Owners, development teams, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires DoD clearance, Security+ or equivalent, and deep experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, Xray, and ServiceNow.

Qualifications

US Citizenship is required.
Active DoD Secret clearance required.
Must commute to Ft. Meade, MD for on-site support.
Security certification meeting DoD 8570 IAT level II or higher (e.g., Security+).
Bachelor’s Degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6–10 years. Additional experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
Experience in Process Mapping.
Experience in data-driven operations within a DoD environment.
Experience identifying and tracking dependencies, risks, and mitigations.
Experience estimating level of effort to feed project schedules.
Experience with JIRA, Xray, Confluence and Git.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under strict deadlines and with diverse teams.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automating releases.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple releases simultaneously.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and guide cross-functional teams using Lean-Agile principles.
Collaborate with process owners, technical leads, and stakeholders to mitigate dependencies and technical debt.
Responsible for all minor and major releases.
Analyze incidents, communicate with customers, and resolve issues.
Lead and own the release management process, including planning and risk assessment.
Drive cross-team collaboration and resolve impediments.
Coach teams on the release process.
Build product roadmaps in Jira.
Develop metrics and reports for sprint, project, and program execution.
Implement Agile methodologies to improve software delivery.
Engage with End Users, Software, Data, DevOps, and Data Scientists.
Define processes for technical platforms and system specs.
Track As-Is vs To-Be processes with Product Owner and SMEs.
Maintain user stories in Jira and report variances with stakeholders.
Create business process maps using standard methodologies.
Monitor and report technical variances; drive issue resolution.
Adapt to customer dynamics and foster innovation.
Raise questions and concerns proactively.
Leverage problem-solving to address complex issues.
