Job summary

Leidos in Washington, DC is building a brand-new Agile development team to support federal IT modernization. The Configuration Manager role blends hands-on technical work with process leadership to coordinate releases across engineering, DevOps, security, data, and operations in a mission-critical environment.

You will own CM plans, release procedures, and environment baselines, drive readiness reviews, and ensure traceability with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and CI/CD tools, while collaborating

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience leading cross-functional release planning, readiness, approval, deployment, and validation.
• Experience developing CM/release plans, change control processes, deployment/rollback plans, and release documentation.
• Experience coordinating releases across multiple environments.
• Experience with Agile/DevOps workflows and traceability tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket/Git).
• Ability to coordinate complex dependencies, risks, and stakeholder decisions; strong communication and organization skills.
• Experience supporting federal, defense, or mission-critical programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end configuration management across all environments (dev through IL5/IL6 production).
• Own CM plans, release procedures, baseline controls, governance models, and change workflows.
• Coordinate release planning and execution across engineering, DevOps, cloud, data, test, cyber, IA, operations, and customer teams.
• Facilitate release readiness reviews, configuration control boards, and go/no-go reviews; ensure traceability and documentation.
• Maintain CM records and release evidence; manage DoD-aligned security requirements and STIG configurations.
