Job summary

Leidos is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer for the GSM-O II contract supporting DISA. This role is primarily remote, but candidates must reside within commuting distance to Scott AFB, IL or Fort Meade, MD for on-site support.

A Secret clearance is required at start, with Security+ within 60 days. You will develop automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Artifactory), configure Elastic/Kafka clusters in AWS, implement STIGs, and build observability dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and 4-8 years experience or Master’s with 2-6 years experience.
• Experience developing software in an Agile environment and quickly learning new technologies.
• Ability to work in a distributed, dynamic, fast-paced team.
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket and Linux development environments.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain interim DoD Secret clearance before start and security cert (e.g., Security+ CE or CISSP) within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes (OpenShift), Docker and Ansible.
• Assist deployment and maintenance of Kafka and Elastic clusters in AWS.
• Configure apps to integrate data into an Elastic (ELK) stack in AWS.
• Apply DoD STIGs and security standards across environments.
• Build centralized dashboards and observability for health, performance and security.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and automation to improve reliability.
• Manage certificate lifecycles and security automation.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Security, Cloud and App Eng teams in Agile sprints.
• Develop automated tests using Ansible, Selenium, JMeter, JUnit.
• Troubleshoot installation and infrastructure issues; mitigate risks.
