The Relay Technician II role emphasizes safety, relay protection expertise, and testing, troubleshooting, and reporting to support project execution with Senior Technicians and Engineers.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen (safety sensitive position)
• Background check clearance required
• Willingness to travel and work overtime
• Valid driver's license with good driving record
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in substations
• Knowledge of relay test software

Responsibilities

• Perform relay testing with assistance from Senior Technicians and Engineers.
• Execute element, logic, and basic functional testing of protective relays and control systems.
• Conduct end-to-end testing and validate protection system operation.
• Create detailed reports, commissioning records, and calibration documentation.
• Coordinate work activities with engineers, project teams, and clients.
