Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) seeks a Relay Technician II to test, commission, and maintain protection and control systems with safety as a core value. This mid-level role supports project execution through testing, troubleshooting, and reporting while building expertise in relay protection schemes.

You will work closely with Senior Relay Technicians and Engineers to advance testing practices and deliver reliable system performance for clients across North America.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen for safety-sensitive role.
• Criminal background check required.
• Willing to work overtime and travel out of town.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays.
• Knowledge of relay test software.

Responsibilities

• Perform relay testing with Senior Techs and Engineers.
• Execute element, logic, and basic functional testing of protective relays and control systems.
• Create detailed reports including test results and calibration documentation.
• Read and interpret one-line/three-line diagrams and complex protection logic.
• Develop testing and isolation plans for safe execution of work.
• Coordinate work with engineers and project teams.
