Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Relay Technician II to test, commission, and maintain protection and control systems across North America. This mid-level role emphasizes safety, technical proficiency with relays, and the ability to support project execution through testing, troubleshooting, and reporting.

The technician will develop expertise in relay protection, system analysis, and advanced testing methods while collaborating with Senior Technicians and Engineers to ensure client

Qualifications

  • Pre-employment drug screen required.
  • Criminal background check required.
  • Overtime and travel may be required.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record required.
  • Hands-on relay testing, maintenance and repair experience expected.

Responsibilities

  • Perform relay testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems.
  • Develop and follow testing plans, run end-to-end tests, and verify system operation.
  • Create detailed reports, commissioning records, and calibration documentation.
  • Communicate findings clearly to clients, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities with engineers and other technicians to ensure project success.
