Job summary
Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Relay Technician II to perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems across diverse facilities. You will work with Senior Technicians and Engineers, developing expertise in relay protection schemes and advanced testing practices while prioritizing safety and quality.
This mid-level role emphasizes hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and clear communication with clients and project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or associate degree in electrical/electronic technology or engineering preferred.
- NETA II certification preferred.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Able to travel to client sites as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform relay testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems.
- Analyze relay operations, event records, and system performance data.
- Read one-line and three-line diagrams and complex protection logic.
- Develop testing and isolation plans to ensure safe execution of work.
- Create detailed reports including test results and commissioning records.
- Coordinate work with engineers, project teams, and other technicians.
