Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a Relay Technician II to test, maintain, and troubleshoot protective relays in electrical power stations under minimal supervision. Responsibilities include using relay test equipment and software to test various relays inside substations.

The role requires hands-on installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of protective relaying with emphasis on safety and efficiency. Relocation or travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background check required.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead in safety culture and supervise team members.
• Install, commission, test and maintain protective relaying equipment.
• Develop standard commissioning, testing and maintenance procedures for protective relaying.
• Perform function testing of substation control circuits on relay panels, transformers and breakers.
