Job summary

VyStar Credit Union is seeking a Relationship Specialist to deliver exceptional member experiences both in person and by phone. You will identify member needs, propose VyStar solutions, and grow consumer and business relationships through thoughtful discovery questions and cross-selling of deposit, credit, insurance, and investment products.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a professional, trustworthy demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in a sales and/or customer service position, preferably with a financial institution.
• Ability to process accurate transactions.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communications.
• Proficiency in Internet and Microsoft Office.
• Outgoing personality and a strong desire to help people.
• Professional in appearance and attitude.
• Ability to handle many tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for sales.

Responsibilities

• Provide unbelievable member experiences with every interaction, in-person and on the phone.
• Identify member cues and ask open-ended questions to grow relationships.
• Position VyStar financial solutions to member needs.
• Handle personal and business account transactions and loan applications.
• Explain basics of credit and savings options; refer more complex products.
• Provide additional services such as notary, wire transfer, and disputes.
• Support VyStar initiatives and campaigns.
• Maintain compliance with limits and guidelines.
• Lead by example with integrity and professionalism.
• Engage with members and drive booked sales.
