Job summary

The Branch Manager role at Saco- is responsible for leading the Westbrook, ME branch with a strong emphasis on customer service and branch operations. You will identify customer needs, promote deposit products, and ensure compliance while representing the bank’s standards in every interaction.

You will also open and close the branch as scheduled, coach tellers and CRAs on referrals, and cultivate a loyal customer base through exceptional service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required; college, business or banking professional training helpful.
• Previous banking experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to deliver quality work during times of increased volume.
• Operational proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; Outlook, Word and Excel and other Windows-based applications; comfortable learning new software.
• Commitment to ongoing learning.
• Interacts harmoniously, professionally and effectively with others, focusing on bank goals through teamwork.
• Ability to read/see documents and computer screens, communicate in person and via telephone, and operate a computer and office equipment.
• Dependable with punctuality and attendance standards.
• Able to travel to all bank locations.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional, courteous and efficient service to all internal and external customers.
• Makes referrals benefiting our customers to our business partners.
• Assists customers in opening accounts, explaining deposit products and services, updating information, answering questions and resolving problems.
• Provides information on consumer and business deposit products including IRAs, HSAs, and Electronic Banking Services.
• Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and ensures compliance.
• Acts as liaison between customer and bank departments to resolve issues.
• Complies with banking regulations and bank policies.
• As scheduled, opens/closes and oversees the Branch office; may supervise staff in the absence of other branch management.
• Ensures customer services are implemented according to bank policies.
• Performs miscellaneous duties or special assignments.
