Job summary

NBT is seeking a Relationship Banking Associate in Portland, ME to deliver high-quality customer service and timely processing of routine transactions. You will identify customer needs, refer opportunities to partners, and support new deposit accounts while contributing to community engagement.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and at least one year in banking or sales/customer service, with strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of related banking or equivalent sales/customer service experience.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Process routine transactions and routine account servicing with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify customer opportunities through consultative conversations and assess needs.
• Refer customers to appropriate business partners when necessary.
• Provide support for basic deposit account opening.
• Engage in community events in support of CRA objectives.
