Job summary

Webster Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker 2 in our New York area to drive sales, deliver exceptional customer service, and support operations with a small team. The role emphasizes needs-based conversations, accuracy in daily banking tasks, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

The position requires strong communication, coaching ability, and flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends if needed, to support branch goals and customer needs.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years customer service and sales experience in banking.
• 0-2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and motivating.
• Working knowledge of bank products and services.
• Familiarity with branch transaction processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customers' needs accurately and timely, capitalizing on resources and tools.
• Evaluates client needs and offers appropriate financial products and services through needs-based conversations.
• Performs routine teller transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments.
• Supports segmentation strategy by implementing sales, retention, and other bank initiatives.
• Ax leads to meet/exceed both individual and team goals in sales, service and operations.
• Maintains compliance with Federal and State regulations and internal policies; supports audits.
• Assists with supervision of banking center colleagues, coaching and onboarding new bankers.
