Job summary

UMB Bank, N.A. is seeking a Personal Banker to build customer relationships, identify needs, and offer financial solutions. You will develop a loan pipeline and cross-sell home equity loans, auto loans, personal loans, and mortgage referrals while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

You will work in a branch with training on products and services, and opportunities for growth within Consumer banking. Weekend/evening hours and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of retail banking sales experience or related experience.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly.
• Strong math skills and problem solving within risk parameters.
• Proven ability to build personal relationships and educate customers.
• Business development skills to grow personal book of business.
• High-energy, sales-driven team environment; coaching accepted.
• Bilingual and college degree strongly preferred are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Asking personalized questions to learn customer goals and connect to solutions.
• Creating and managing loan pipeline; prospecting and cross-selling loans and referrals.
• Growing the customer base via networking and proactive sourcing.
• Learning banking processes and maintaining accuracy per standards.
• Challenging performance metrics while delivering superior customer experience.
• Other duties as assigned.
