Job summary

UMB Bank is hiring Personal Bankers to build strong customer relationships and recommend financial solutions that support clients’ financial wellbeing. You will learn UMB’s products in depth, work with leaders, and contribute to a high-energy, sales-driven team focused on exceptional customer service.

You will manage loan pipelines, prospect for lending opportunities, and deliver personalized financial guidance while maintaining accurate documentation and compliant processes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of retail banking sales experience or related experience.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.
• Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately.
• Basic math skills and problem-solving within risk tolerances.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust through personal connections and education.

Responsibilities

• Ask personalized questions to learn customers' financial goals and connect them to solutions.
• Manage a loan pipeline with strong closing conversions through lending opportunities.
• Grow customer base through product knowledge, networking, and referrals.
• Learn processes like transactions, cash drawer handling, and bank documentation per standards.
• Meet daily KPIs while delivering outstanding customer experience.
