Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation is seeking a Personal Banker to build relationships, understand customer needs, and offer financial solutions. You will expand your product knowledge through extensive training and collaborate with leaders for mentorship and growth.

You’ll convert routine service requests into cross-sell opportunities, call leads, visit workplaces, and develop referral networks while meeting daily metrics and complying with industry standards. Weekend and some evenings are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment engaging with customers and making product recommendations
• Strong communication skills and ability to identify customer needs
• Ability to convert transactions into cross-sell opportunities and build client relationships

Responsibilities

• Ask personalized questions to convert transactions and routine service requests into cross-sell conversations
• Create sales opportunities by calling leads, visiting workplaces, and developing referral networks
• Achieve daily performance metrics while balancing priorities
• Learn processes like transactions, cash handling, and bank documentation per standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
