Job summary

Woodforest National Bank in Tyler, TX is hiring a Banker to serve as a frontline ambassador and build retail customer relationships while proactively marketing products and services. Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant retail sales and/or customer service experience.
• Prior in-store retail banking experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated willingness to accept coaching and feedback.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible or extended hours based on retail branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership by identifying customer needs and recommending banking solutions.
• Achieve individual sales goals through proactive conversations, referrals, and marketing outreach.
• Resolve customer inquiries at first contact, with internal support as needed.
• Maintain operational excellence through accurate transaction processing and account openings.
• Explain complex solutions in simple terms.
• Deliver the Woodforest Experience with warm, personalized customer interactions.
• Explain retail banking products clearly and support digital tools.
• Engage in community events and branch promotions to drive traffic.
• Protect customer confidentiality and comply with policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Open and maintain deposit accounts and consumer loan products with accuracy.
• Balance cash handling, vault duties, and other branch servicing tasks.
