Job summary

Woodforest National Bank in Danville, VA, is seeking a Branch Banker to deliver the Woodforest Experience by providing friendly, knowledgeable service and promoting banking products. You will support daily operations, open accounts, process transactions, and build relationships within the community.

You’ll work to achieve sales and service goals while living Woodforest’s Core Values of Ownership, Service, Community, and Integrity in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant retail sales and/or customer service experience.
• Prior in-store retail banking experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated willingness to accept coaching and feedback to improve performance.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible or extended hours based on retail branch needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strong retail performance by identifying customer needs and recommending banking solutions.
• Achieve sales goals through proactive conversations, referrals, and marketing outreach.
• Handle customer inquiries with timely resolution at first contact when possible.
• Open and maintain deposit accounts and consumer loan products with accuracy.
• Support branch security procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide warm, personalized customer interactions and guidance on products.
