First Merchants Bank is seeking a Client Relationship Representative (Universal Banker) in Merrillville, IN to deliver high-quality customer service and drive branch sales goals. You will open accounts, process loans, and educate clients on digital tools while maintaining strong relationships in a fast-paced team environment.

You will use CRM and banking tools to manage client interactions, participate in service and sales activities, and support compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year banking, sales, or related experience; at least 6 months selling products/services.
• S.A.F.E Act registration at time of employment through NMLS; ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service by addressing a wide range of banking needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactively engage clients to understand financial needs and recommend products, services, and digital tools.
• Open new consumer and business accounts and process loan applications for clients.
• Utilize CRM and sales tools to document and manage client interactions and incentive activity.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal controls.
