Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is hiring a Retail Banking Associate to deliver exceptional client service both in person and by phone. You will develop and expand client relationships, offering financial solutions based on consultative conversations and referrals to business partners.

The role may be cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed and requires flexibility with weekends and travel to meet staffing needs. Strong communication and compliance with safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including client interaction.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• SAFE compliance within 30 days, including NMLS background checks and financial responsibility requirements.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Willingness to travel for temporary staffing needs and occasional overnights.
• Weekend and/or extended hours work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide industry-leading client service in person and by phone.
• Develop and expand client relationships and offer financial solutions.
• Cross-train to perform teller duties as needed.
• Meet or exceed branch sales targets through consultative conversations and referrals.
• Participate in leadership routines of the retail branch.
• Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
• Adhere to internal controls and risk management policies.
• Create a welcoming client experience and assist with transactions.
