Job summary

Truist is seeking a customer-focused Retail Relationship Associate in Tampa to deliver an industry-leading client service experience both in person and by phone. You will develop and expand client relationships by offering financial solutions and referring complex needs to specialists as appropriate.

Some teller duties may be required. Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, two years of client sales and service experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced branch

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• SAFE compliance within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background checks.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Willingness to travel for temporary staffing needs or locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours; travel and overnight stays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and sales functions across deposit, credit, and other product lines.
• Contributes to meeting/exceeding client service and branch sales targets by expanding and retaining relationships.
• Supports team sales process by consultative conversations and referring complex needs to internal specialists.
• Participates in the Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Pursues ongoing knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through trainings.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Adheres to internal controls and risk management policies; stays updated on policy changes.
• Ensures a consistent client service experience by engaging clients with courteous conversations during transactions.
