Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation seeks a dedicated team member to deliver industry-leading client service both in person and by phone, expanding client relationships through consultative conversations and referrals. The role includes cross-training to perform teller duties as needed.

The position emphasizes meeting branch sales targets, leveraging product knowledge, and providing exceptional service while navigating policies and risk management standards in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment in this role, including NMLS background check.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignment or locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights.

Responsibilities

• Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution and advanced sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience and other product and service lines.
• Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service as well as individual and branch sales targets by offering products and services with a focus on developing, expanding and retaining relationships.
• Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring more complex client needs to other internal specialists.
• Participates fully in all components of the established Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Advances knowledge of sales techniques and product knowledge through meetings and training.
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
• Adheres to internal controls, procedures and risk management policies.
• Engages clients with friendly service while conducting transactions and assisting them inside the branch.
