Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team and drive sales and service metrics while delivering high-quality customer service. You will accurately complete bank transactions, open deposit accounts, and process loan applications, identifying and recommending products and digital tools to meet clients' financial needs.

In this role you will proactively engage clients, resolve inquiries, document interactions in CRM, and support banking center goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of banking, sales, or related experience; at least 6 months selling products or services.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at employment through NMLS; meet qualifications within 3 months.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of bank products and services across lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service by addressing general banking needs in a fast-paced banking center.
• Proactively engage clients to understand financial needs and recommend products, services, and digital tools.
• Resolve inquiries, concerns, and complaints; ensure timely, positive resolution.
• Maintain accurate client records and account information for ongoing relationship management.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and other transactions; balance cash and branches as needed.
• Open new consumer and business accounts and process loan applications.
