First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team, responsible for delivering high quality customer service, assisting with deposits, loans, and account openings while identifying products and digital tools to meet clients' financial needs.

You will drive sales and service metrics, engage clients to understand needs, process transactions, and open accounts, with emphasis on accurate records, CRM usage, and compliant practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year banking, sales, or related experience; 6 months selling products or services.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at hire through NMLS with qualification within 3 months.
• Notary Public designation ability.
• Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of bank products/services across lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service addressing general banking needs in a fast-paced, relationship-focused environment.
• Proactively engage clients to understand financial needs and recommend products, services, and digital solutions.
• Resolve inquiries, concerns, and complaints within scope of authority with timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate client records and account information for relationship management.
• Accurately process transactions: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and more.
• Open new consumer and business accounts and process loan applications for clients.
• Document client interactions and incentive plan activity using CRM and sales tools.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls.
