Job summary

First Merchants Bank seeks a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team. You will drive sales and service metrics while delivering high quality customer service by accurately handling bank transactions and opening accounts.

You will identify client needs and promote digital tools to meet present and future financial goals, aiming for excellent experiences. You will engage in relationship management, support banking center operations, and ensure regulatory and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of banking, sales, or related experience; 6 months selling products/services.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required by employment; must meet qualifications within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service addressing a wide range of banking needs in a fast-paced, relationship-focused environment.
• Proactively engage clients to understand financial needs and recommend products, services, and digital tools.
• Resolve inquiries and complaints within authority for timely, positive client experiences.
• Maintain accurate client records and support ongoing relationship management.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other routine transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Open new accounts and process loan applications for new and existing clients.
