Job summary

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative (Universal Banker) to join our team. This full-time role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service by accurately processing bank transactions and suggesting products that meet customers' financial needs.

As part of this role you will travel daily to banking centers within the region, support a high-performing sales environment, and participate in training to strengthen product knowledge and customer advocacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months selling products or services.
• Minimum of 1 year of sales, banking and/or related experience.
• Ability to travel daily to banking centers within assigned region; valid driver’s license.
• S.A.F.E. Act Registration must be completed within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer requests for banking transactions.
• Answer customer inquiries with solutions meeting current needs.
• Balance cash, daily transactions, vault and ATM.
• Sell bank products and make customer referrals.
• Assist with opening and/or closing banking center.
• Participate in meetings and coaching sessions.
