Job summary

Truist Wealth is seeking a Relationship Banker to provide exceptional client service in person and on the phone while developing and expanding client relationships in the Charlottesville area. You will offer financial solutions, referrals to specialists, and may be cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed.

The role emphasizes meeting service and sales targets through consultative conversations, product knowledge, and strong communication. Weekend/extended hours and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of client sales and service experience
• Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and client relationship building
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
• Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment including NMLS background check
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints
• Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs and locale changes
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel and overnights

Responsibilities

• Provides industry leading client service in person and by phone to develop and expand client relationships
• Offers financial solutions based on consultative conversations and referrals to other business partners
• Cross-trained to perform teller duties as needed
• Maintains client relationships to meet service and sales targets
• Conducts consultative conversations and refers complex needs to internal specialists
• Participates in branch leadership routines
• Attends trainings to improve sales techniques and product knowledge
• Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications
• Maintains compliance with policies and procedures
• Engages clients with courteous conversations during transactions and helps navigate the branch
