Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a customer service–oriented team member to support daily banking operations. The role involves handling transactions, opening and adjusting accounts, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of customer service or cash handling experience, with training in compliance and bank procedures. This position is typically based in a branch and offers full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Successful completion of required compliance and training curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate service and resolve customer needs to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle deposits, withdrawals, payments, check cashing, and related transactions within policy.
• Open accounts and modify existing accounts per customer requests.
• Identify suspicious activity and obtain manager approval for transactions outside limits.
• Maintain cash drawer and balance daily; support branch operations.
