NTT DATA is seeking an experienced Techno-Functional Business Analyst with reinsurance domain expertise to support a cloud-based reinsurance platform. You will work across business and technology teams to define requirements, improve processes and ensure end-to-end delivery in a complex multi-entity setting.

The role requires strong requirements gathering, data analysis and stakeholder management, with exposure to multi-currency and financial controls.

Formación

• 8+ years of BA/SA/PO/Techno-Functional experience in insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience with reinsurance processes: assumed and ceded.
• Experience in platform implementation or modernization.

Responsabilidades

• Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize requirements across functional, data, reporting and integration areas.
• Bridge between underwriting, operations, claims, finance, technology and platform/vendor teams.
• Define data mappings, business rules, and integration requirements with policy administration and finance systems.
• Develop user stories, process maps, functional specs, acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
• Coordinate UAT, support defect triage, validate solutions and drive business readiness.

Job Description

Techno-Functional Business Analyst – Reinsurance

Role Purpose

We are seeking a Techno-Functional Business Analyst with reinsurance domain experience to support the implementation of a unified, cloud-based reinsurance platform. The role will work across business and technology teams to define requirements, improve processes, support integrations, and ensure successful delivery across the end-to-end reinsurance lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and prioritize functional, data, reporting, integration, and non-functional requirements.
• Act as the bridge between underwriting, operations, claims, finance, technology, and platform/vendor teams.
• Support assumed reinsurance processes including submission intake, underwriting, rating, treaty/contract issuance, and post-bind administration.
• Support ceded reinsurance processes including treaty setup, cessions, recoverables, settlements, retrocession, panel allocations, and capacity-provider reporting.
• Define requirements for proportional and non-proportional treaty structures.
• Document and support premium and loss bordereaux ingestion, validation, processing, exception handling, and reporting.
• Support requirements for billing, financial processing, technical accounting, reserves, claims, and reconciliation.
• Define data mappings, business rules, validation controls, and integration requirements with policy administration, claims, finance, and enterprise systems.
• Develop user stories, process maps, functional specifications, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
• Coordinate UAT, support defect triage, validate solutions, and assist with business readiness and rollout.
• Support operational dashboards, financial reporting, analytics, audit trails, and multi-currency/foreign exchange requirements.
• Identify opportunities to standardize processes, reduce spreadsheet dependency, and improve data quality and automation.

Required Experience & Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or Techno-Functional Consultant.
• Strong experience in insurance or reinsurance, preferably in both assumed and ceded reinsurance operations.
• Good understanding of treaty reinsurance, bordereaux, cessions, recoverables, settlements, retrocession, technical accounting, and claims.
• Experience in reinsurance platform implementation or modernization programs.
• Strong knowledge of requirements gathering, process mapping, user stories, UAT, data analysis, and system integrations.
• Experience working with finance, underwriting, claims, operations, and technology stakeholders.
• Familiarity with cloud-based SaaS solutions and Microsoft Azure environments is preferred.
• Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency, international business, financial controls, and audit requirements is desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

• Experience with INTX Re, ReinsureConnect, or comparable reinsurance administration platforms.
• Knowledge of APIs, file-based integrations, data migration, SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting tools.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
