Hylant in Clayton, MO is seeking a Captive Reinsurance Accountant to support evaluation and management of reinsurance contracts, claims, and reinsurer relationships. The role ensures compliance with policies, efficient claim settlement, and clear communication with reinsurers.

You will generate insightful reports and analyses to support informed decision-making, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and help maintain high standards of accuracy and process improvement across the captive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in reinsurance accounting or similar finance area.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook and Teams.
• Strong attention to detail and metrics-focused mindset.
• Excellent English communication and ability to travel as needed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare technical, financial accounting of premium, claim and reserves.
• Review reinsurance contracts for policy adherence.
• Process and settle reinsurance claims accurately and efficiently.
• Generate reports and analyses to support decision-making.
• Advise internal stakeholders on Statutory and Reinsurance accounting.
• Maintain relationships with reinsurers and drive process improvements.
• Keep SOPs and training guides up to date with Captive Account Executives.
• Perform other duties and special projects as required.
