Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System is seeking a Rehab Administration professional to support patient care operations and access to care processes. You will assist with communication to patients and families, manage Plan of Care paperwork, and help coordinate transfers and billing support within the rehab department.

The role involves maintaining EMR documentation, organizing supplies, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

Qualifications

• AHA CPR AED certification must be active and in good standing throughout employment.
• Previous customer service or clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with communication to patients and caregivers explaining evaluation and treatment processes.
• Process Plan of Care (POC) communications for evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Track, log, and follow up on POCs with doctors' offices and patients/caregivers.
• Support patient transfers, queue management, and collaboration with patient access and clinical teams.
• Handle daily charge reconciliation and address misses or corrections.
• Scan and organize patient documents into the EMR per HIM requirements.
• Support discharge processes for patient accounts and assist with appointment confirmations to minimize no-shows.
• Assist Clinical Team with patient care activities as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment areas and ensure equipment cleanliness and logs.
