Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Florida seeks a Rehab Clinical Operations Coordinator (Days, Full Time) to support patient care and access to care operations within the rehab department. Qualifications

• American Heart Association (AHA) CPR AED required and active throughout employment.
• Previous customer service or clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with communication to patients and caregivers regarding evaluation and treatment processes.
• Process Plan of Care (POC) for evaluations, re-evaluations, and additional treatment.
• Track and follow up on POCs with doctors’ offices and patients/caregivers.
• Support patient transfers and scheduling, including queue management and follow-ups.
• Perform daily charge reconciliation and address misses or corrections.
• Scan and organize patient documents into the EMR per HIM requirements.
• Follow discharge procedures for patient accounts.
• Help confirm patient appointments and minimize no-shows.
• Support PEDS scheduling via CRM and same-day rescheduling.
• Coordinate care and billing for Early Steps with clinical and regional teams.
• Assist clinical team with patient care activities as directed.
• Ensure clean sweeps and hospital-required environment of care standards.
• Maintain stocked treatment rooms and equipment linens.
• Monitor inventory and assist cross-centre operations as needed.
