Job summary

Nicklaus Children's Health System seeks an engaged Rehab/Therapy support role in the Miami Lakes area to assist with patient care activities and daily rehab operations. You will help ensure smooth access, accurate documentation, and efficient scheduling within the rehab department.

Responsibilities include handling Plan of Care communications, charge reconciliation, EMR document scanning, and coordination with clinical teams to minimize no-shows and maintain patient flow.

Qualifications

• CPR/AED certification required and active
• Customer service or clerical experience required
• Spanish proficiency preferred
• Healthcare environment experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with communication to patients and caregivers regarding evaluation and treatment processes
• Fax, mail, receive and monitor Plan of Care (POC) for evaluations and re-evaluations
• Track and follow up on POCs with doctors' offices and patients/caregivers
• Monitor patient transfers, including queue management and collaboration with patient access and clinical teams
• Perform daily charge reconciliation and address any discrepancies
• Scan and organize patient documents into the EMR following HIM requirements
• Assist with discharge processes for patient accounts and minimize no-show rates
• Support scheduling via CRM and same-day rescheduling for Pediatrics
• Coordinate care and billing support for Early Steps patients with relevant teams
