Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System is seeking an Rehab/Therapy Administrative professional to support patient care operations, scheduling, and documentation in the rehabilitation department. You will help with communication to patients and caregivers, manage Plan of Care documents, and assist with daily office tasks to ensure smooth rehab operations.

Responsibilities include tracking POCs, organizing EMR documents, coordinating care with clinical teams, and aiding in billing and discharge

Qualifications

• CPR AED from American Heart Association must be maintained in good standing.
• Previous customer service or clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Explain evaluation and treatment process to patients and caregivers.
• Process Plan of Care (POC) for evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Track and follow-up on POC with doctors’ offices and patients.
• Assist with transfers, queue management, and records review.
• Daily charge reconciliation and fixing misses or errors.
• Scan and organize patient documents into the EMR per HIM rules.
• Support discharge processes and appointment confirmations to reduce no-shows.
• Assist Rehab scheduling via CRM and same-day rescheduling changes.
• Coordinate care and billing support for Early Steps with clinical teams.
