Job summary

Mercy Health in Maumee, OH seeks an experienced clinic front office associate to support daily outpatient operations. Responsibilities include patient check-in/out, registration, insurance verification, and POS collection within the EPIC/CarePath system.

You will assist licensed staff, manage schedules, verify demographics and coverage, and help maintain accurate records and billing. Strong multitasking and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 2 years of office experience in a medical office with insurance.
• Proficient keyboard and computer skills for data entry and scheduling.
• Strong interpersonal and multitasking abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manages front office flow: check-in/out and collaboration with staff.
• Verifies insurance information, eligibility, and authorizations as needed.
• Registers patients in Carepath/EPIC for pre-registration and registration.
• Collects POS payments and handles cash with accurate accounting.
• Documents medical demographics, billing details, and signatures.
• Supports therapists with scheduling and patient flow coordination.
• Maintains departmental work queues and daily charge audits.
